The Old Timey Computer Show is a 24/7 showcase of video tapes and films about computers, video games, digital art, and other ephemera from the 20th century, a celebration of the era when computers were new and the ways they would change the world were yet to be seen. The Opponent's passion project since May 2019, it hosts more than 2,500 videos totaling over 1,200 hours, every single video cleaned up, aspect ratio-corrected, and audio-leveled to create an endless marathon of retro tech media.
For The Opponent, it's not enough to simply preserve analog media for historical sake—it won't mean much if it's not presentable to modern audiences who don't actively seek it out. Whether you want to learn about computer history from the source, share your experiences growing up with technology with other viewers, or just have something on in the background that occasionally turns into a video game promo reel, the Old Timey Computer Show has something for you.
